Biosafety in the Laboratory covers biosafety level 1 (BSL1) and biosafety level 2 (BSL2) environments, with minimal introduction to biosafety level 3 (BSL3). Anyone who works with live animals, viruses or microorganisms will benefit from this one-day professional development course.
We will discuss guidelines and regulations, biotechnology and biosecurity, decontamination and disinfection, laboratory-acquired infections, disposal and shipment of biological materials/wastes, facility and equipment design, and medical surveillance.
