Changes affecting the NIH, other federal agencies (e.g., Dept. of Ed.), and the rapidly changing regulatory landscape will have an impact on how schools and universities maintain safe and compliant laboratories. Organizations should be evaluating their operations now to assess risks and evaluate strategies to move forward. This webinar will explain the basic relationship between NIH funded research and university operations, encourage participants to assess organizational risks, and suggest potential strategies for maintaining the performance of their laboratory safety program.

Presenter Bio: Tim Barton is the Chair of the LSI Board of Directors, an LSI Adjunct Instructor and Chief Safety Officer at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
