The workshop discusses the important issues for chemical hygiene officers – what are my responsibilities? What are the nine lab hazards? How do is develop, improve and implement our chemical hygiene plan? What are the requirements of the OSHA lab standard? What are some of the other lab regulations? What other responsibilities go beyond the lab standard? What resources are available? How do I get management and employees committed?

You will discover that the most important word in the definition of being a chemical hygiene officer is the one that is not there! Learn the four simple questions and the answers that every CHO must know. And, there’s a sample exam. This is the prep course for taking the NRCC CCHO Certification exam. Arrangements to take the exam need to be made separately with the NRCC (www.nrcc6.org).

This course was developed by RJC Associates (Russ Phifer, Jim Kaufman, and Christina Dillard).
