SAFER STEAM SUMMIT CLEVELAND: Aug. 10-13
Across the country, the Safer STEAM Summit brings together educators and school leaders for immersive, real-world learning to build safer, STEAM-centered programs that align with NGSS standards and creative excellence.
WEEK SCHEDULE
Cuyahoga Corporate College East (Aug. 10–11)
Tri-C East Campus: Lab Sessions (Aug 12–13)
Monday (Cuyahoga Corporate College East): Administrators and teachers come together to examine the real state of science safety, identify gaps between expectations and classroom realities, and build a shared foundation for action.
Tuesday (Cuyahoga Corporate College East): Hands-on workshops and discipline-specific breakouts to help develop practical, safety-centered strategies teachers can apply directly to their instruction.
Wednesday (Tri-C East Campus): Participants conduct guided inspections of real laboratory and instructional spaces to identify hazards, assess risk, and prioritize meaningful safety improvements.
Thursday (Tri-C East Campus): Hands-on demonstrations and safer lab activities, giving teachers experiences of strong safety practices that support engaging, inquiry-driven science.
