This guide, written by teachers for teachers, will stimulate safety thinking and safety awareness among students at all levels. This lesson manual was designed to provide instructors and students with a sense of personal security and awareness in the science laboratory. The goal of the manual is to get students and teachers to reasonably foresee the consequences of what they are doing, about to do, or are not about to do, in order to generate a sense of personal safety and awareness in the science laboratory.
